Vietnam Magazine

I created this magazine cover with a picture from our summer vacation to southeast Asia, and some phrases about the Vietnamese portion. I could definitely see using this application on some of the collaborative research projects kids do in the library, like the geologic time travel brochures, or the Spanish speaking country projects. I'm pretty sure Flickr is blocked by our district filter, though. I'll have to check that out.

If it turns out that flickr is blocked (it is not in our district) you can still create a mashup style magazine cover with just a little more instruction about layout of text and images, just using Word. Flickr does make it easier, but you're also locked into their template. Did you see this article about flickr and the Library of Congress collaborating?
